The frame covers are made from Polypropylene mixed with EPDM, which acts as an elastomer, plus a UV protectant. The EPDM is in the PP beads in talc form so that the product has flexibility. PP alone would easily crack or break. This is a formula used in automotive applications like a front fascia (It can bend without breaking). The PP comes in small beads which are forced into the injection mold at a pressure high enough to liquify the plastic. Once it's injected the tool rests long enough for the plastic to solidify and the finished product is removed from the mold. Material is hard plastic like the Mopar style; NOT like the early soft AMC style.

Start screws by hand (one side at a time)2. Use 3/16 self-tapping screws w/ washer3. Run them in about halfway because you still want them to move, so you can repeat the step 1 process on the other side4. IT FITS TIGHT (exactly like the factory frame covers) – push cover and roll it over by hand for a seamless fit (press hard)5. This is right about the point where you realize calling over an extra set of hands might be useful to finish the job6. Once all (4) of the self-tapping screws are turned in about 50% by hand, you’ll be ready to run them in all the way Frame cover install tips & tricks from our customers: 1. Loosely screw in both bolts on one side first
2. Then insert a deep well socket (13mm Craftsman 1/4" will do the trick) through the hole above the forward screw slot and into the corresponding frame hole3. Push down gently until the forward slot allows the screw passage to the frame, then thread the screw in enough to hold4. There will now be allowance for the remaining screws to all thread in Actual Box Dimensions:29.75" x 9.25" x 4.25" If you're looking to place an order for a quantity of 10 or more, please give us a call at 972-442-6189 to place your order.

CJ frame cover
The reproduction cover looks great and fits snug/perfect. It looks just like the real factory part as well, if it still looks this good in s year I will give it the full 5 stars.
-
Great Quality but a Tight Fit
Fits very tight. I had to stretch mine in the hot sun on a homemade jig.
-
Embossed Front Frame Cover
Piece doesn't fit. Appears to be made well but is about 1/4" too narrow to fit. For how hight the price is for a piece of plastic, I expected it to fit.

Jeep frame cover
Looks good but seems too small and tight to line up with the bolt holes on my original 82 Scrambler.
-
Jeep Frame Cover
My old frame cover finally dry rotted after 41 years. The new cover fits perfect and looks original. I am more than pleased with this product!

Front Frame Cover
Excellent quality. The installation holes did not match up to my 1984 scrambler, but realize not all CJs are the same. Overall a great product.

Frame Cover
Great quality but the fit is more than tight. I had to use a heat gun to stretch it to get it to fit.

Frame cover
Looks great like original but since someone went thru the trouble of re popping these they could have been a little wider very tight fitting just like the original ones. Could have corrected that part. Other than that good piece.
